Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Looksmaxxing ("we", "us", the "App") collects, uses, shares and protects your information. There is no sign-up and no user-facing account — but to analyze your face and run the App, some of your data (including your photos) is processed and stored in the cloud, as described below. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
The short version: We use your selfies to generate your facial analysis and 30-day plan. To do that, they're sent to our AI provider (Google) and stored in our secure cloud storage, associated with an anonymous identifier — not your name or email. We do not sell your data. We use an advertising identifier only to measure our ads, and only if you allow it.
1. Information we collect
Photos you provide
To analyze your face, the App uses the selfies you capture or choose (typically a front and side photo) and any optional progress photos you add over time.
Face data & the TrueDepth camera
During the scan animation, on supported devices the App uses Apple's ARKit face tracking (which relies on the TrueDepth camera) solely to draw a real-time wireframe overlay on your screen as visual feedback. This face-mesh and depth information is processed on your device, in memory, only for the duration of the animation; it is never collected, stored, shared, transmitted, or used for the analysis, and it is discarded immediately when the scan screen closes.
Your facial analysis is performed on the standard 2D photos described above under "Photos you provide" — no depth maps or TrueDepth data are captured with your photos. Those photos are face data too: how they are used, stored, shared, retained and deleted is described in Sections 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8 of this Policy.
Information you enter
During onboarding you may provide details such as your age, gender, goals, style preferences, hair length, skin type and concerns, and sleep habits. This is used to personalize your analysis and plan.
Identifiers
We do not ask for your name or email. To make the App work across sessions, we generate an anonymous identifier for your install (via anonymous authentication) that is linked to your analysis, plan and subscription — but not to your real-world identity. We also process a device push token to deliver notifications, and — only if you grant permission — your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to measure our advertising (see Section 5).
Purchase information
If you buy a subscription or other in-app purchase, the transaction is handled by Apple and our subscription provider (RevenueCat). We receive your subscription status and purchase history, but not your full payment card details.
Usage & diagnostics
We use analytics to understand how the App is used and to keep it reliable. This may include device type, app version, language, product-interaction events, approximate location derived from your IP address, and crash, performance and diagnostic information.
2. How we use your information
- To generate your AI facial analysis, score, feature breakdown and perceived-age estimate;
- To create and adapt your personalized 30-day plan and track your progress;
- To power the in-app AI coach with advice grounded in your own results;
- To send you notifications and reminders (if you enable them);
- To process and restore purchases and subscriptions;
- To measure and attribute our advertising campaigns (only if you allow tracking);
- To analyze usage and to secure, debug and improve the App.
3. How the AI analysis works
Facial analysis, plan generation and the AI coach are powered by third-party generative-AI services (Google's Firebase AI / Vertex AI, using Gemini models). To produce your results, your photos and relevant inputs are transmitted securely to these services for processing, and the results are returned to the App.
We do not use your photos to train our own models, and, under the enterprise terms we operate under, we do not authorize the AI provider to use your content to train its general models. Processing by the AI provider is also governed by its own terms and privacy policies.
4. Where your data is stored
Your onboarding answers, results and plan are kept on your device. Your photos are uploaded to and stored in our secure cloud storage (Google Firebase) so they can be analyzed and so features such as your progress timeline work. Cloud-stored data is associated with your anonymous install identifier, not your name or email. We do not operate a traditional login or store a directory of users' real identities.
5. Advertising & tracking
We may measure how well the ads that bring people to Looksmaxxing perform. When required, the App shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt asking whether you allow tracking:
- If you allow it, we and our attribution partners (RevenueCat, and the advertising platforms we run campaigns on, such as TikTok) may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to attribute app installs and purchases to specific ad campaigns, and that attribution data may be shared with those advertising platforms.
- If you decline, we do not use the IDFA for this purpose.
You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. We also use Apple's privacy-preserving Apple Search Ads attribution, which does not use the IDFA. We do not use your data for third-party advertising beyond this measurement, and we do not sell your personal information.
6. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers necessary to run the App:
- Google / Firebase — AI analysis (Firebase AI / Vertex AI / Gemini), secure cloud storage of your photos (Firebase Storage), anonymous authentication (Firebase Auth), push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging), backend functions, and usage analytics (Firebase Analytics);
- RevenueCat — to manage and validate subscriptions and to attribute purchases to ad campaigns;
- Apple — to process payments, distribute the App, and (with your permission) support advertising attribution;
- Advertising platforms (e.g. TikTok) — attribution and campaign-measurement data (such as app installs, launches and purchase events, with device identifiers only if you have allowed tracking) so we can measure the ads that brought you to the App.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users or the App.
7. Your choices and rights
- Tracking: Allow or deny at the App Tracking Transparency prompt, or change it later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Notifications: Enable or disable them in iOS Settings.
- Delete your data: Tap "Start over" inside the App (Profile → Start over). This deletes ALL your data in one action: every local file on your device AND every photo, scan and analysis file in our cloud storage under your anonymous session. Your anonymous session identifier is also removed. No email is required.
- If you already deleted the App: Your on-device data was removed with the App. Any photos we uploaded to our cloud are stored ONLY under an anonymous identifier that lived on your device — without that identifier we cannot look up or link the data to you. Because we never collect your name, email or account inside the App, the data cannot be attributed to you as an individual.
- Manage subscriptions: View, change or cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Requests: Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Contact us and we will respond as required by applicable law.
8. Data retention
On-device data stays until you delete it (via "Start over" or by removing the App). Cloud-stored photos and related analysis are retained until you tap "Start over" in the App — which erases them from our cloud immediately — or until they are no longer needed for the purposes above. Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat are retained according to their policies.
9. Children's privacy
Looksmaxxing is intended for users aged 17 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transmission and storage of your photos. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International users
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where we transfer information, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
